Our Roof Cleaning Process

Every roof is assessed before work begins so we can choose a cleaning method appropriate for the property and condition of the tiles. Our approach is designed to remove moss and organic build-up effectively without relying on unnecessarily aggressive cleaning methods.

1. Manual Moss Removal

We begin by carefully removing the bulk of the moss by hand. This allows us to work methodically across the roof while minimising unnecessary stress on the tiles.

2. Controlled Low-Pressure Cleaning

Once the heavier moss has been removed, the roof is cleaned using controlled low-pressure equipment to remove remaining dirt, staining and organic matter.

Unlike aggressive high-pressure washing, our approach is designed to achieve a thorough clean while protecting the integrity of the roof surface.

3. Biocide Treatment

This targets remaining spores and organic growth that may not be visible after cleaning, helping to slow the return of moss, algae and lichen and keep the roof cleaner for longer.

4. Gutters, Fascias & Soffits

A roof clean involves more than the tiles themselves.

Internal gutter clearance is included as standard, removing moss and debris generated during the cleaning process. We also clean the exterior of the gutters, fascias and soffits, leaving the whole roofline looking clean and tidy.

5. Final Check & Clean-Up

Once the work is complete, we carry out a final check of the cleaned areas and clear away debris created during the process.

The result is a professionally cleaned roof and roofline, with the property left tidy when we finish.
