Project Overview
Bristol Exterior Cleaning was appointed to carry out a comprehensive cleaning programme at Bristol Bus Station, combining a full exterior clean with specialist deep cleaning of the internal tiled flooring.
As one of Bristol’s busiest transport hubs, the station remained operational throughout the works. To minimise disruption to passengers, staff and services, the project was carefully planned and delivered across four nights.

The Challenge

Internal Tiled Floor Deep Cleaning
One of the most challenging elements of the project was restoring the heavily used internal tiled flooring.
Years of pedestrian traffic had resulted in dirt and grime becoming deeply ingrained within the tiled surfaces. Our specialist DOFF steam cleaning system was used to break down and remove this accumulated contamination using superheated steam and controlled water pressure.
Industrial wet-vacuum equipment was used alongside the DOFF system to continuously recover dirty water and loosened contamination as our team progressed through the station.
The process produced a significant improvement, removing years of accumulated grime and transforming the appearance of the internal floor areas.
Full Exterior Cleaning
Alongside the internal works, Bristol Exterior Cleaning completed a full clean of the bus station exterior.
